(Note: I don't do any uploading myself. I am able to watch episodes thanks to semi-fly's uploads over at d-addicts, or viewing them online. I haven't found any sites that are uploading this drama, due to the fact that it's a daily morning drama, and the amount of episodes is no mere feat.)


I haven't seen Suh Hyun Joo much on the script scene--this and Pink Lipstick were the two that I've seen of this writer. Both were melodrama and revolved around the theme of revenge.

I am currently enjoying the drama right now (as of May 25, 40 episodes have aired). The plot is setting up well, and I'm surprised at the twist turn of events in this week's episodes. (Won't spoiler it for now.) Anyone interested in this daily drama? ^-^

Kim has also leaked out some details about his next feature film, and sure enough after doing comedy, horror, action, and sci-fi, it's time to do a western. It will be set in Manchuria (like all the other Korean neo-Westerns of the 1960s and 70s), and the working title can be translated as THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE STRANGE. He said you can also sort of think of it as a western version of the Hong Kong film SWORDSMAN. Song Kang-ho will apparently take the part of "The Strange". And he rides a motorcycle, not a horse -- because Song said he can't ride a horse.

It will be shot from next March in Mongolia, Manchuria and Vladivostok, and should be ready for release in late 2007 or early 2008.

I'm picturing now that crazy scene in the middle of A BITTERSWEET LIFE where Lee Byung-heon goes to buy a gun, and it's making me very excited about this next project.

2/8/07 -- Song Kang Ho, Jung Woo Sung, and Lee Byung Hun will lead the movie “The Good, the Bad and the Strange (좋은 놈, 나쁜 놈, 이상한 놈)”. This movie is the Korean version of the famous Western movie “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". The production cost is around 10 billion Won. Song Kang Ho and Lee Byung Hun each collaborated with this movie’s director Kim Ji Woon (김지운, 43) in the movie “The Foul King (반칙왕, 2000)” and “A Bittersweet Life (달콤한 인생, 2005) respectively.

In this movie, SKH plays “The Strange (이상한 놈)” who always rides a motorcycle and recklessly lives like weed. JWS plays “The Bad (나쁜 놈)” who would murder people in order to get the highest prize. LBH plays “The Good (좋은 놈)” who is a bounty hunter and a sharpshooter although he sometimes has warm heart. The filming of the movie is scheduled in April and will be debuted in the first half of 2008.

Park Chan-wook is back. After his last feature, the quirky romance I'm a Cyborg But That's OK which was not particularly well received, Park is tackling the vampire project which he has been talking about for years. Song Kang-ho plays a priest from a small town who volunteers for a medical experiment. However when the experiment fails, he finds himself physically and psychologically changed, and struggling to hold on to what is left of his humanity. Up-and-coming actress Kim Ok-bin (Dasepo Naughty Girls) co-stars in a role that, according to rumors, many established actresses refused to take because of the explicit sex scenes involved. BLAKE: What can you tell us about your next film Bakjwi?

PARK CHAN-WOOK: Bakjwi is the Korean word for “bat.” It will be a very very sad and tragic melodrama about a vampire who has fallen madly in love with a married woman. It will not be like a Batman type movie or a vampire horror film.

Right now there are two English titles for the film. One is just “Bat” and the other is “Evil Live.” I think “Evil Live” makes it sound too much like a horror film or something along the lines of “Batman-ish” type science fiction, so I will be coming out with a new English title, which I haven’t decided on just yet.

'Bat' having difficulties casting main female character due to high sexual references



Director Park Chan-wook is having difficulties in finding a main female actor for his latest film "Bat" due to high sexual references. Director Park Chan-wook earned an international reputation from his last film, "Old Boy". An excellent actor, Song Kang-ho is already chosen as the main male character. However, many female actors declined to accept the role.

The film is already receiving enormous attention in local and international market, in which the French film distributor, "Wild Side" already bought its copyrights even before the film began shooting. As Director Park Chan-woo said, the plot is a love story of a vampire. However, as evident from Director Park Chan-wook's previous films such as "Old Boy" and "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance", his love story wouldn't be an another Hollywood cliché love films. According to a source, the film "Bat" is going to be one of horrific and shocking gothic film.

Despites what is known to the public, Song Kang-ho do not become a vampire from his scientific experiment failure but is someone who has a rather peculiar occupation where he meets a group of people in a secluded place. Meanwhile, he meets a married couple and falls in love with the wife. The sex scenes in the film will be as highly sexual as of those from the recent film, "Lust Caution". This is why many top female actresses are hesitating to be involved in this 'Gothic melo-film'. Even though Song Kang-ho have finished shooting "The Good, The Bad and The Weird", nothing is heard about any progressions made for the film.

A staff from the producer team said, "There are few female actresses who are highly motivated to take the role and we also consider a new face like "Wei Tang" from "Lust Caution". We are not in hurry, because this is the very first part of the preparation stage and we are open to many possibilities".

CJ Entertainment turns double play

BERLIN -- CJ Entertainment has boarded Park Chan-Wook's latest project, now titled "Thirst," and "The Good, the Bad and the Weird," helmed by Kim Ji-Woon.

In a double whammy for the busy South Korean sales, distribution and financier, CJ Entertainment said Friday that it expects to close deals on both projects for U.S. distribution and is in negotiations "with studios big and small" for "Oldboy" director Park's "Thirst," according to international sales and acquisitions chief Tom Oh.

Oh said "Thirst," budgeted at $7 million, is scheduled to shoot in March and aims to roll out the project in South Korea by the end of this year. It details the story of a priest who turns into a vampire after a failed medical experiment and his battle for survival. "Thirst" is being produced by Moho Films. Oh said CJ Entertainment is putting up finance in return for worldwide sales rights and South Korean distribution rights. CJ Entertainment also has snapped up Korean distribution rights to "Weird" and is just starting presales -- excluding a handful of territories, including Japan -- at the European Film Market.

Oh said the Kim-directed project is "one of the biggest budgets for a Korean movie ever" at $17 million. The deal with the filmmakers and CJ was struck early Friday morning, and Oh and his team are hurriedly fixing up meet-and-greets with buyers. The project started out at rival Korean outfit Cineclick Asia. Oh declined comment on his company's swoop for the title. Set in Manchuria in the 1930s, "Weird" deals with three Korean men and their entanglement with the Japanese army and Chinese and Russian bandits, according to one Internet site. Kim has enjoyed success at the boxoffice in Asia with such titles as "The Foul King" (2000), "A Tale of Two Sisters" (2003) and "A Bittersweet Life" (2005).

A monster is hiding in the waters of the Han River. A monster who looks like nothing Song Kang-Ho's family has ever experienced. And the fight against the suffering and misfortune the presence of the ominous figure creates is at the center of Bong Joon-Ho's third feature. After the masterful Memories of Murder, Bong could have done anything he wanted, but the young director ended up making something of such ambitious scale that the entire industry sat down and watched as he first revealed an impressing casting (Song Kang-Ho, Park Hae-Il, Bae Doo-Na, Byun Hee-Bong, Oh Dal-Soo), and then tried to conceal some precious information, something that the press tried to grab from him from the beginning.

What we know is that the scale of the project is huge, with shooting going all over the Han River in dozens of locations, with a lot of money spent on special effects to render the 'creature' as realistic as possible, and a story which will not come second after the spectacle. Combining bizarre characters with an obsessive attention to detail, a love for great storytelling, and the kind of panache only great directors showcase, Bong has been able to establish himself in the elite of Korea directors after just two films. In 1990, Bong Joon-Ho was a young student, who drew cartoons for his school newspaper and took various part time jobs at film companies. Although his major at Yonsei University was sociology, his lifetime dream was to become a filmmaker. So after finishing college, he enrolled in the Korean Film Academy, from which he graduated with a short film called 지리멸렬 (支離滅裂, Incoherence). The short won him awards overseas, and great acclaim at home; he became one of the hot new kids on the block, creating a lot of expectations in the industry. But he never jumped the gun, slowly climbing towards the upper ranks of the industry. He helped write the script of 모텔 선인장 (Motel Cactus) and 유령 (Phantom: The Submarine) in the late 90s, and then it was time for his feature debut. In 2000 he made his big splash in Chungmuro with 플란다스의 개 (Barking Dogs Never Bite), an off-kilter black comedy which received great praise. But between his first feature film and the incredible critical and popular success of his second, the memorable 살인의 추억 (Memories of Murder), Director Bong was preparing something else. When Choi Yong-Bae of Cheongeoram asked him to work together, he had something in mind, something he dreamed of making since he was in college. But he already knew it was something which could take years to make. But what was that project about, and why would it take so long?

Although Japan's 怪 (Kaiju, monster) culture has created a huge niche even in the West, its Korean counterpart 괴수 (怪獸, Gwesu, monster) never really had any impact on the public, both at home and abroad. Although the first tentatives of the genre started in the early 60s, with Kwon Hyeok-Jin's 우주괴인 왕마귀 (Space Monster Demon King), the genre was never able to crack into the mainstream, even with works like 용가리 (Yonggari) - which did make decent money, but probably turned the whole nation off monster films. SF had never been one of Korea's favorite genres, and monster films were often associated with cheap special effects, bad storytelling and acting. So when one of the most talented filmmakers in the country announced he was making a 10 Billion Won monster film, a lot of people had only one question in mind: why?

Bong could have made anything he wanted. After striking the ball out of the park twice with his first two films, he could have played safe, make a little film to satisfy his appetite for genre Cinema, a big star vehicle with his distinctive touch but an eye to the box office. Anything. But why such a huge budget, and why one of the genres Koreans have never shown any interest in? You could consider it a mere challenge Bong is taking, but 괴물 (The Host) won't be your average monster film, just like 'Memories of Murder' wasn't your usual whodunit thriller, and 'Barking Dogs Never Bite' your usual comedy. The film could be compared to Hollywood films like 'Invasion of The Body Snatchers', although it will still carry genre specific elements. Using the monster as a metaphor for the witch hunting created by McCarthy-ism during the Cold War era, and the powerful and menacing threat of Soviet influence, the film bears a resemblance to some of those classic Hollywood films. But it will also retain that Koreanness, that unique humour of Bong's other works.

Starring Song Kang-Ho, Bae Doo-Na, Park Hae-Il, Byun Hee-Bong and Oh Dal-Soo, 'The Host' is set for Summer 2006.

Instead of our usual Q&A excerpts, I tried something different for this special. Since a lot of interviews used for this article were a little old, and things changed between then and now (like scripts being completed, actors cast, contract signed), I put different comments from director Bong on separate sections dealing with the same argument.

THE HOST
"We started pre-production with the working title 더 리버 (The River). I always wanted to do a Korean style monster movie from the beginning, so I met with Cheongeoram president Choi Yong-Bae in 2001, and presented him the project. I've been working hard every day ever since. We started with a simple and slightly absurd concept: what if a monster appeared on the banks the Han River? When I was in high school, you'd always hear those news stories, like the appearances in Lochness or Mt. Baekdu, so why not Seoul? The film tells the story of a family of four people, running a small shop near the Han River. But one day a strange creature emerges from the waters of the Han River, and it starts injuring people. 'The Host' is a film about a simple family fighting with this mysterious monster."

WETA, ORPHANAGE AND CGI
"To be honest, when I started thinking about 'The Host', I was worried Korean film technology wasn't up to the standards the film required - or that it would cost too much to do it. I didn't think we would be able to make such a fully 3D creature, so that was a really serious concern at the time. Since they have a lot of experience in dealing with things like this, they [Weta, Creative Workshop, Orphanage] lifted one big weight off my shoulders by working with us, and taking care of CGI. When we first met with Weta, they were surprised we'd even make a film like this in Korea. But the next time we met Robert Taylor, he was a little anxious because [in Korea] we don't usually blow large sums of money on special effects, and was afraid we'd propose some preposterous figure. After all, it's hard to turn down someone who came such a long way to work with you. Anyway, we told him it would be US$ 3 Million, and he quickly replied, worried: 'for the entire film?'. When we told him it would be 3 Million for the special effects only, he was really happy, and told us they could certainly do what we wanted for that sum of money. That's when things started, and we worked really fast from there. They thought the kind of monster we designed had really oriental features, so we scouted famous monster designer 'hellnaut' [who worked on many Korean online games] to do it."

MY OWN GENRE
"Everyone thinks 'The Host' will be an SF film, but that's not the case. This film will have that kind of humour which lies dormant inside all my films, and comes from my own subconscious. So instead of following the basic tropes of surrealist films of this genre, 'The Host' will be much more concerned with realism, both in form and storytelling. Don't we live in an odd country? Our big, strong bridge finally collapses, a lot of people lose their lives, that supermarket which looked so solid vanishes into a pile of dust and debris in a matter of moments... so is the appearance of a monster that weird? This is a film walking the line between the real and surreal."

MONSTER
"'The Host' is not all about the monster, but it was something we definitely had to deal with. We couldn't just put some fur on two assistant directors and let them prance around pretending they were a monster. It had to be a perfectly realistic living creature. We had a lot of up and downs, but I'm really happy with the final result. This is not the kind of Hollywood film where you see the formation of the monster after 10 minutes, its tail and feet a half hour later, and the main character having a stylish fight with it in the climax. Yes, Kang-Doo's family has to face tragedy thanks to the monster, but it's not one of those glamorous situations where a few families unite and decide to fight the monster together. The people in my film can't help but shed tears in front of their impending and tragic situation."

COMIC TRAGEDY
"Disasters might be scary and tragic, but on the other hand they might have a farcical side to them. When that mall collapsed [he's talking about a real event from the mid 90s the film was vaguely based on], I felt sad and shocked. Looking at that mess every day though, I saw people using golf clubs to search for buried money, and all the thieves in the city were there... doesn't that make you laugh? Comic and tragic seem to always go hand in hand when disasters like that happen. Especially all those families who weren't prepared for the consequences became victims of that situation, it was inevitable. As a whole, it might be a film about a family's fight against the monster, but they're not gonna use some fancy laser guns to fight it, so all that's left to them is laugh. But that doesn't mean we'll consciously try to force comedy out of those situations. Korean disasters always seem to have that feeling, just like an absurd theater play."

HAN RIVER
"We've shot so many photos of the Han River, it feels like home now. We persistently hunted for locations both in a microscopic and very detailed way: different hours of the day, different weather, different shooting angles and lenses, high, clean and dirty waters... we shot them all. I wanted to show the innumerable faces of the Han River in 'The Host', but it's not merely eye candy, it has a connection with the drama in the film. There's also a reason why we chose a lot of locations during the rainy season. It's not like we're making a video for the promotion of tourism, but if the Han River didn't have a connection with the story, why even bother shooting there? I wanted to dissect and look at all the parts that make the Han River what it is, just like picking every single one of the 200 and more bones that make a person, or the blood vessels that flow through our veins. The monster's form is the core of the production. If we can't create a realistic creature, the film will be never able to strip itself from the legacy of other monster movies. That's why we decided to work with world famous WETA, responsible for the special effects in the 'Lord of the Rings' series."

BURDEN
'Why shouldn't one be burdened by many things. I have no interest in normal films, in things you'll understand in 5 seconds. I'm thoroughly working hard to make sure everything turns out as planned. And it's been the same from the beginning, during the first, second, third... many years of preparation. It's not like we're in an embarrassing or dramatic situation, we're not on the verge of jumping off the Wonhyo Bridge. If you just work with that mentality, then you can relax and focus on what you have to do."

INFLUENCES
"It bears some resemblance to 'Signs', and even Spielberg's 'Jaws'. When I first talked about the film, people were confused about the size of the monster, expecting something gigantic like 'Godzilla'. But that's not the case, it's more like the kind of creature you see in 'Alien'. Anyway, there's really no film you can compare 'The Host' to: even when the marketing team was asking me a reference to compare 'Memories of Murder' with, I just told them there was nothing I could single out, that it was just a 'rural thriller', the 전원일기 (Lifetime in the Country) [THE family Drama in Korean TV history] version of 'Se7en'. So, in a way, you could call this the 한강수 타령 (Ode to The Han River) [a recent Family Drama] version of 'Alien'."

ISSUES
"'The Host' is full current political and social issues helping paint the progression of the story. I don't know why I did that, perhaps it's because I was influenced by my previous film. That's not only a kind of genre-specific tendency, but also also something we can put into a certain context, and help it become a topic of discussion. Kang-Doo is not one of those 'people in high places', like a staff member of 119 rescue squads, or someone doing a briefing about measures to counter the problem. He's the kind of person who would ask you what kind of sauce you wanted with your instant noodles, going as far as checking the water's temperature. But when a calamity approaches the everyday life of people like him, they can't even imagine its repercussions. And then the viewers become one with them, they relate to his problems. I can't reveal what those social and political issues will be, until the film is released in theaters. But that will be a really important element of the film, and I wanted to have a little fun with that kind of idea, like in classic Hollywood SF films. It might be a deleted scene, but in Kubrick's 'Dr. Strangelove', there's a moment when Americans and Russians fight throwing cake at each other; and then there's that moment when one character acts like a cowboy on a nuclear missile... that kind of mood, you know? That kind of atmosphere fits really well with this genre, and would give the film a very bizarre energy."

The attraction is that this drama is about somewhat what happens to the Korean Aristocrat & the Gentry class of old in this modern world of Western modernisation. It may shown some more heavier traditional value that before. A different kind of family oriented genre of drama Synopsis

Han Dan Ah is very dignified & beautiful & yet she is pitiful. Dan Ah was married in her 20s, but due to an unforeseen event her husband dies in a car accident during their honeymoon. An instant black widow one may put it. She will be pursued by 2 men. A man who is younger than her by 6 years, Jung Hyun Kyu. The other is a rich man from a rich family (technically his family background is not of gentry), Lee Kang Suk. This drama centres & explores the tangles & less than perfect lives of this gentry family of 4 generations

Episode 1-2

It starts with Ha Man Gi is brought to his family mansion by this father, who told him that this house belongs to their family & their ancestors all were born in that house except his poor son Man Gi. It is obviously that currently the house, no longer belong to them. Although being gentry class they must have lost it to circumstances. So they are now poor Gentry Upper class family with no money. Ha Man Gi is ask by his son to promise him to regain the family house.

Present time. Ha Man Gi finally regains much of his family illustrious gentry background with land paddy field to accompany the estate & of course the family house.

The Ha family consist of a Great grandfather (Ha Man Gi's father), the patriarch of the Ha Family. Then follow by Ha Man Gi & a late bloomer sister Ha Joo Jung. Ha Man Gi has a son, Ha Suk Ho. No mentioned of the wife of Ha Man Gi, most probably died. Ha Suk Ho has 3 children, a pair of fraternal twins Ha Soo Young who is married to a wife 4 years his Senior & Ha Tae Young who is married with a son Ha Dong Dong & then a daughter Ha Dan Ah. It is Ha Dan Ah that the drama centres upon as the main character

The Great Grandfather suddenly of the shortness of breath dies in hospital. Ha Man Gi goes to the hospital to see his father for one last time & tries calling the family to come to the hospital, however, failed to get any of the extended family members in time to see the old man go. But all were too busy to take heed or can't be reach by phone or was too far a distance to return. The patriarch dies before they could return

Han Dan Ah is an Asst Professor in a Cultural Dept of a University having a conference in Jeju. After hearing her Great grandfather was very ill, she decided to take the next flight home but find that there was no available seat. She then meets with a shameless upstart, son of a wealthy man, Lee Kang Suk who previously had not so pleasant encounter at the conference. He is taking a booked flight back to Seoul, & Ha Dan Ah asked if she could buy the ticket from him for an emergency. He plainly told her if she wants it, she need to foot out 100 million for it. She was flabbergasted.

Not giving it to return to Seoul, she went to find other options. She went to the port to find a fishing trawler that will take her back to the mainland. As there was a storm coming in, no trawler boat will want to set off to sea. After many trips & fall on the rain, she finally begs a fisherman to take her to the mainland, seeing that she was so filial that her persistence, the fishermen relented & agree to take her to the mainland, but only to receive a call that her Great Grandfather had already passed. Being a filial grand daughter she wept for her failure to see her Great Grandfather for one last time. This drama is based on Ha Dan Ah, a filial grand daughter & whether her way of thought of being a subordinated woman can sustains in this modern world with her cloistered traditional values that may not be applicable anymore & lack of openness towards the world today. How such people can survives? She was then to ask to return in her own time back to the family house

Ha Tae Young, the younger twin is having an affair in the hotel when his wife comes with police & video camera man to film him in action for adultery. (Adultery is a Criminal offence in Korea; you can be sentence to at least 2 years for the offence). He has a son Ha Dong Dong. While being drag to the police station to make a statement, the couple then meets with his sister in law, wife of Ha Soo Young. She too looks like is having an affair with a young man. Ha Tae Young then punches the young man & ended in the police station for assault. Ha Soo Young after finding that their Great grandfather had passed away then comes to the Police station to bail his younger brother Ha Tae Young when he sees his wife also in the Police station. Ha Soo Young is a morally upright person to the core he is very boring. His wife who is 4 years his senior from an arrange marriage wants it to call the marriage quits, but Ha Soo Young refuses. So in order to come out of the marriage, she hires the young man to stage the adultery on ground for a divorce. The sibling all had an arguments where Ha Tae Young tells his brother that he is defending his brother honour that why he beat up the young man, not knowing that he is in the same boat himself. Ha Soo Young slaps his brother for his improper behaviour to his sister in law, then begs & kneels to his wife to do her duty as the eldest great granddaughter in law for the funeral

Seeing this scene progressing is Na Mal Soon, a tomboy police detective who adds seasoning to the hot argument. It is to be said that Ha Tae Young & Na Mal Soon will eventually be make a couple & we have to see how this relationship will unfold in the episode to come

Meanwhile their father Ha Suk Ho is having his hand busy, when he finds the woman that he is has acquaintance Lee Young In is pregnant with his child at the age of 50. Lee Young In is shocked to find out of her pregnancy after suspecting that she may be having stomach cancer as she was vomiting badly. She wants to have the pregnancy terminated as she is so embarrass by it. She wouldn't have dreamt that Ha Suk Ho still have it in him as they had a drunken one night stand

Ha Jung Joo is the sister to Ha Man Gi, although very much younger, she is even younger than the nephew. How she came about, we have yet to find out but she is address as Grandaunt. She works in a broadcast centre & had a rough time with the Producers & ended up so drunk in the tavern that she didn't pick up her phone. She is a character to be reckon with

So the extended family by hook & by crook starts to appear at the hospital. Then Ha Man Gi decided that it is the wish of his father to have the full rites of the funeral that is befitting of the gentry

Here you get to see an expansive Confucianism funeral rites & procession. This drama had taken patience & be diligent in provided every details of it. I bet that this had seldom practice in Korea anymore due to the financial cost it takes to have these to be carried out. I use to remember that the older generation had to save what they call "coffin investment" in order to pay for such rites. I knew of an old granny who had bought a coffin made from camphor wood, sitting in storage for her waiting for her to be buried in it. Eventually she died after 30 years after her purchase to finally get to be buried at the ripe of age of 95. I wonder how much was a storage cost bill came out to be?

Let me explained some of the on going in a Confucianism funerals. The immediately family had to don "mourning clothes". As you may know, Confucianism is deeply rooted & do prevailed in Korea even till today the tradition does affect the daily lives of most Korean people in regardless of what religion they belong to. Korea sometimes is called the Confucian country, even in China, most of it is had been diluted. The 1st foremost basic rules of principles & virtues of Confucianism is filial piety. In accordance with this principle, those whose parents had died are in ethic prisoner or offenders convicted for failing to have their parents enjoy good health & to had live longer. You will able to see that they will be mourning & wailing "Aigoo! Aigoo!" throughout the rituals of the drama. This applies to all death such as Uncles, Aunts brother, spouses & etc. The other thing, if the child dies before the parents do, it is considered not filial at all

I remember the scene in "Hwang Jini" where the young master who loved Hwang Jini & died of an heartache was just give a send off like an outcast without proper ritual burial

The mourning clothes are make of sack cloth & the rope belt & head bands are made of rice straw. The inferior quality of cloth is shown basically signify that they are dress in prisoner garment bound by rope for being in filial

When we look at this from outside, it may see very extravagant to see such mourning. I would think great care was taken to film this tradition funeral procession to show to the audience which I would think is either dying or simply being put aside as being labourious

During the elaborate funeral. We get to meet Jung Hyun Kyu, who had a crush on Ha Dan Ah. He is a student at her University. Ha Dan Ah is 30 years old, while Jung Hyun Kyu is only 24 years. Lee Kang Suk also came to the funeral as his own father wanted to revive his ancestry background, if he had any to start with. Jang Hyun Suk meets Ha Dan Ah to find her in mourning clothes then only to get slap by her for his remarks. Ha Dan Ah then finds out that her family is starting to crumble when her elder brother begs his wife for one more chance & Ha Dan Ah finds out about her "adultery". To add she finds that her own father had made Lee Young In pregnant after Ha Dan Ah finds that Lee Young In was not feeling well. Lee Young In just said she had motion sickness, As she brought some medication to relieve her nausea, she over hears that Lee Young In had set up an appointment for an abortion, her father asks her to reconsider

Ha Dan Ah has a kitchen grandmother, a worthy servant of the household to take support on in times of troubles. I would think that she had raise her up in her upbringing as well

As the funeral rites end, they decided to return & had a family meeting. This is when Ha Soo Young's wife voice out that she will no longer be returning to the family, as she wants a divorce. Her reason is that she had committed "adultery". Then Ha Tae Young's wife too voice that she also wants a divorce because her husband is having extramarital affairs outside

Ha Man Gi asked his son, if he knew about it? Ha Suk Ho said he knew of not a thing. Ha Man Gi whacked his son with a wooden brick & broke his forehead

It looks like this less than perfect family is about to go into turmoil zone Stage 1

Plot

"Do I look like a virgin to you?"

Oh Mal Soon (Na Moon Hee) is a seventy-year-old lady who loves to cuss, and showing off her son is her only ray of light. One day she finds out her family is sending her to her home. She takes a walk in the night and finds herself attracted to the light of "Youth Photo Studio". She gets made up for the first time in her life and takes a portrait of herself. 01.Due to the copyright/legal problems, no illegal streaming links will/should be posted on this thread as there had been major crackdowns going on lately.
02.The editing fuction of the forum has already been fixed so you can edit your posts instead of repeating postings thinking that you can't.
03.Any complaints about any streaming links will be counted as spam and will be reported to the mods.
04.Any complaints of the respective companies such as Viikii, youtube, Etc.. should be report to the respective companies instead of posting your complaints here.
05.Those who are caught breaking the soompi posting rules more than 5 times will have their Id/IDs reported the mods.
06.Those who are caught promoting/posting illegal streaming links with subs ( those without permission from the orginal subbers and doesn't have copyrights like Dramafever or Crunchyroll) will have their Id reported to the mods for endangering Soompi to legal issues for illegal streaming sites promotions.
